Mrs. Becky Pearson, Assistant Superintendent

Mrs. Pearson received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Intermediate Education from Lenior Rhyne College (1988), her Masters in School Administration (2005) and her Ed. S. in Educational Leadership from Appalachian State University.

Becky is married to David Pearson, a senior network engineer with Business Data Solutions. They have one son, Tyler who attends McDowell High School. Becky enjoys playing the piano at her church, spending time at the beach, and being with her family.

Becky has been a classroom teacher at Nebo Elementary, Elementary Teacher Support Coordinator, Assistant Principal at McDowell High School and Principal at East McDowell Junior High. Becky is passionate about teaching and improving instruction and looks forward to supporting her fellow educators and the students of McDowell County in the area of curriculum and instruction.
