TRAVELING FROM WESTERN NC
Travel I-40 East. Take Exit #81. Turn left at the stoplight and continue to downtown (Main Street) Marion. You will have passed through 6 traffic lights. At the 7th traffic light turn right on Main Street. You will pass the Marion Post Office on your left and the Marion Police Department on your right. The Central Office is the second building passed the police department. It is a red brick building with blue roof and trim.
TRAVELING FROM CENTRAL OR EASTERN NC
Travel I-40 West. Take Exit #86. Turn right at the end of the ramp. Go to the second traffic light at the intersection of Hwy 221/Hwy 226 N and turn right. Continue through one traffic light. In approximately ½ mile, a sharp right hand curve will bring you to South Main Street. The Central Office is the fourth building on the left. It is a red brick building with blue roof and trim.
TRAVELING FROM CHARLOTTE
Travel Hwy I-85 South to Hwy 321 North. Hwy 321 will bring you to Hickory. Travel I-40 West to Marion. Take Exit #86. Turn right at the end of the ramp. Go to the second traffic light at the intersection of Hwy 221/Hwy 226 N and turn right. Continue through one traffic light. In approximately ½ mile, a sharp right curve will bring you to South Main Street. The Central Office is the fourth building on the left. It is a red brick building with blue roof and trim.
TRAVELING FROM RUTHERFORDTON
Travel Hwy 221 North to Marion. Cross the I-40 bridge. Continue straight on Hwy 221 which becomes Rutherford Road through 2 traffic lights. In approximately ½ mile, a sharp right hand curve will bring you to South Main Street. The Central Office is the fourth building on the left. It is a red brick building with blue roof and trim.
TRAVELING FROM YANCEY COUNTY AREA
Travel Hwy 19 E to the outskirts of Spruce Pine. You will turn right off of 19E onto Hwy 226S. Hwy. 226S ends in Woodlawn. Turn right onto Hwy 221/226S. This highway will bring you to Marion. You will come to a large intersection with multiple stoplights. There will be a shopping center on your right with a Walmart. On your left is a Comfort Inn, Taco Bell and a service station. Turn left here. At the next stoplight turn right. This is North Main Street. It changes its name to South Main Street after you pass the traffic light at the intersection of Main Street and Court Street. Continue on South Main Street until you pass the Marion Post Office on your left and the Marion Police Department on your right. The Central Office is the second building on the right after the police department. It is the red brick building with a blue roof and blue trim.
TRAVELING FROM THE BOONE AREA
Travel Hwy 221 South. Continue on Hwy 221 South into Marion. This road will become North Main Street and change to South Main Street after you pass the traffic light at the intersection of Main Street and Court Street. Continue on South Main Street until you pass the Marion Post Office on your left and the Marion Police Department on your right. The Central Office is the second building on the right after the police department. It is the red brick building with a blue roof and blue trim.
TRAVELING FROM THE SHELBY AREA
Travel Hwy 226 North to Marion. Go to the 5th traffic light at the intersection of Hwy 221/Hwy 226 N and turn right. Continue through one traffic light. In approximately ½ mile, a sharp right curve will bring you to South Main Street. The Central Office is the fourth building on the left. It is a red brick building with blue roof and trim.
